You have the power to light the world
Across the globe, the earth groans in eager expectation for the sons of God to arise.
We pray for Jehovah’s strength, comfort and peace to all those impacted by the plane crash in the Middle East on January 8, 2020 and also for everyone affected by the extensive wildfires in Australia. May the grace and hand of God be extended also to the earthquake victims in Puerto Rico, the flood victims in Indonesia and Angola and the people of Burundi where the malaria outbreak has reached over 8.5 million cases since 2019.
We pray for Godly wisdom to overtake our political leaders globally as they decide the fate of nations and generations. We pray for peace among civil society in every territory where there is unrest, strife and uncertainty. Among the nations of the earth, may the peace of God overtake the spirit of fear. May the spirit of truth unveil and displace deception. May faith in Jesus Christ arise among people globally and may the incense of praise continue to rise towards heaven in increasing intensity from every continent. May the will of God be done, here and now, in the earth as it is in heaven.
Believers in Jesus Christ, know your power and your authority. You are the sons and daughters of God (John1:12).
As darkness in varied forms loom over the earth, we heed Isaiah’s call, “Arise, and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises over you” (Isaiah 60:1) “See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you” (Isaiah 60:2).
Arise in your domain and let the glory of the Lord become tangible to the people around you.
Arise in prayer and join with heaven to release God’s will in the earth. Prayer gives God permission to act in the affairs of men on earth. Let us therefore pray without ceasing. Let us praise without inhibition. Let us arise, and shine and fill the earth with the glory of the Lord.
How to activate the glory of God?
- Power in your mouth: Life and death is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and through Jesus Christ, God has given you the keys to kingdom. “Truly I tell you whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth is loose in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18). Use the power of your mouth to effect God’s will in the earth. Say what God says. God’s word will not return void. He watches over it to make it good (Isaiah 55:9-10).
- Power in unity: “Truly I tell you if two of you on earth agree on anything they ask for it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19).
- Power in believing: “Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established. Believe his prophets and you shall prosper.” (2 Chronicles 20:20 NKJV). “Did I not tell you, if you only believe, you will see the glory of God” (John 11:40).
- Power in praise: Arise in praise and create the atmosphere for God to open the floodgates of heaven over your prayers. Psalm 66:1-3; 2 Samuel 22:4; 2 Chronicles 20:21.
Let us employ God’s divine victory strategy to reverse darkness in our day with the light of his glory. Let us arise, and shine the light of God’s love as we demonstrate his compassion and care to those around us.
