The Power of Prayer
In the third week of May 2017, I observed a woman being prayed for by Bishop Julius Suubi in Toronto, Canada. She was the first to come forward at the Kingdom Enforcers Conference when he called for those who had an issue with barrenness.
It was clear something was happening for this particular young woman who had fallen to the floor during the prayer. Earlier, I had observed her; a very diligent usher in the church. When her husband came forth to join in the prayer you could tell he was expectant.
Some months ago I saw her, radiant and advanced in pregnancy. What we did not know that fateful day in May when she boldly walked to the altar was that doctors had told her that she was unable to bear children.
But in the atmosphere of the Kingdom Enforcers Conference, encircled by believers, filled with the Holy Spirit and strengthened by the power of God, her faith ignited and she pressed through for her miracle—and the impossible happened.
Each time I see her, I am reminded that God hears and answers prayer.
He is the same God who performed the miracles of the Old Testament for Moses, Joshua and David in the Bible.
The same God who raised the dead, restored sight, healed the lame and freed the mentally tormented in the New Testament is availing His healing power to us today.
How amazing, to know that we have access to such great power!
What are you facing that is deemed barren or is beyond your capacity to fulfill? Try the God who was and is and is to come. He invites us to take Him up on the offer to be our great ‘I AM’. Whatever your situation, He says I AM the answer.
How do we engage the Great I AM?
- ASK: We have not because we ask not. “Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be open unto you” (Matthew 7:7,11).
- Ask in Jesus’ name: “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father” (John 14:13)
- Ask in agreement: “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven” (Matthew 18:19).
- Ask and believe: “Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24)
Your story is not over, until you and God say so. Come in agreement with His word, join with other believers and ask Him whatever you desire.
This week, May 16-20, delegates from 33 countries, 180 global intercessors and thousands of Christian believers will converge on Toronto, Canada for the 2018 Kingdom Enforcers Conference. Come expecting your miracle and a life changing experience as we ‘Open up the Gates to the King of Glory’ to be our Great I AM.
